Get ready for the newest music platform causing a stir in the industry! Say hello to Beatly Music, the online hub that’s daring to host AI-generated tracks that have been banned from Spotify and YouTube. The folks behind Beatly Music took to Product Hunt to drum up excitement about their site, boasting about its need for a “repository of AI-generated music—whether authorized or not.” And they’ve got a point, as the recent viral hit “Heart on My Sleeve” by @ghostwriter on TikTok, which mixed Drake and The Weeknd’s voice using AI, has shown the power of AI-generated music to create new mashup hits.

The problem is that copyright laws aren’t quite advanced enough to handle this kind of music. The existing code allows for transformative parody, but it’s open to interpretation. Universal Music Group (UMG) has already taken action to prevent AI music from spreading, citing a “moral and commercial responsibility” to their artists. But Beatly Music developers have a solution to this issue. According to them, their platform is the answer, providing a “safe and reliable platform” where artists can submit their AI-generated tracks without fear of being taken down or sued.

With Beatly Music, you can finally release your AI-generated tracks without the fear of being pursued by those “big and intimidating” music labels hunting you down.  It remains to be seen how long the bigwigs at UMG, WMG, and Sony will let Beatly Music get away with hosting unauthorized tracks, but it will be interesting to see what this new platform can do!
