ByteDance is hiring a US-based music strategist to help coordinate its music strategy across TikTok, Resso, and other apps. Beyond the requisite perks and shiny LA office, the right candidate can easily bag a $300,000+ annual salary.

Get ready for some major perks and a glamorous LA office! ByteDance is on the hunt for a music strategist to level up its global music business strategy across TikTok, SoundOn, Resso, and other hot apps. According to the job listing on LinkedIn, the right candidate will play a key role in creating a cutting-edge music ecosystem that benefits both ByteDance and the entire music industry.

No need to worry about TikTok’s future in the states – ByteDance has got it covered with other apps in need of music-related attention. But don’t expect to pack your bags for Montana, this gig probably won’t require any travel there!

As the chosen one, you’ll be responsible for “developing and refining” the overall strategy of ByteDance Music, as well as devising tactics for each business. With in-depth research skills, you’ll identify new opportunities for expansion and help with project landing. Check out the listed qualifications per ByteDance’s posting – it’s time to make your mark in the music industry!  You Can’t Afford to Miss This Exclusive Opportunity!

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience working in strategy, consulting and corporate development on the TMT sector, or a strategic thinker with vast knowledge and experience in the music business.
  • Strong understanding of digital environments.
  • An experienced and independent researcher using data and analytics
  • Highly self-motivated idealist with strong project management skills
  • Experience in the global music industry is highly preferred, despite being a US-based position.

ByteDance Fights TikTok Bans in the U.S., Including Montana!

Despite the looming threat of TikTok bans in the U.S., ByteDance is determined to expand its presence, even in the state of Montana where a bill to officially ban TikTok is waiting for the governor’s signature. If signed, the ban wouldn’t take effect until 2024, but it’s a clear indication of the challenges ByteDance faces in the U.S. market.

In an effort to solidify its position, ByteDance recently launched Lemon8, a Gen-Z focused platform that combines elements of Pinterest and Instagram. Many TikTok users and young adults (aged 18-24) are flocking to Lemon8 as a way to break free from Instagram, which is owned by Meta, Facebook’s parent company. Will Lemon8 be ByteDance’s secret weapon to stay ahead in the ever-evolving social media landscape? Stay tuned to TMZ for all the latest updates!
